The research group was born from the multi-year collaboration between Katia and Daniela, two researchers from the University of Sassari and the University of Teramo, and their colleagues.
Katia Corsi is a Full Professor of Business Economics at the University of Sassari. Previously, she worked at the Universities of Urbino and Politecnica delle Marche and was a visiting professor at the Catholique University of Lille.
In the CAPTION project, Katia is the Principal Investigator. Her research within the project focuses on the proper characterization of carbon accounting within management accounting and the identification of best practices for detecting, monitoring, and mitigating GHG emissions.
Daniela Mancini is a Full Professor of Performance Measurement and Business Analytics at the University of Teramo. Previously, she worked at the Universities of Pisa and Naples Parthenope and was a visiting professor at the Catholique University of Lille and IESEG Business School.
In the CAPTION project, she coordinates the activities of the Teramo research unit, with a particular focus on the disclosure of greenhouse gas emissions in the sustainability reports of listed companies. Her research interests include accounting information systems, innovation management, performance measurement, and environmental sustainability.
Through research, we analyze advanced technological solutions that support companies and institutions in the areas of administration, finance, and control.
We study and develop innovative accounting practices and performance measurement metrics to enhance the effectiveness of decision-making processes aimed at sustainability.
We delve into methods to ensure the quality and reliability of Corporate Sustainability and Digital Reporting for companies and stakeholders.
We propose models to integrate ESG principles (environmental, social, and governance) into accounting and reporting information systems, aligned with a responsible and strategic management approach.
